MATTHEW PYPER,
M.SC., B.SC. HONS.

PRINCIPAL, DIRECTOR Operational Innovation

Matthew is an ecologist and facilitator whose work is focused on connecting ecological knowledge to policy and practice in the fields of forestry, conservation biology, and sustainability. His in-depth knowledge of current research, policy, and applications has helped him establish a solid reputation with his clients.

Matthew brings a creative, dynamic approach to facilitation and is trained in the methods and techniques of the Art of Hosting. He leverages these tools and techniques to bring a strong foundation related to working in complexity to realize strategic and on-the-ground progress with his clients.

Matthew can often be found coaching his children’s soccer teams, exploring the beautiful landscapes of the Shuswap, and serving as a ‘training opponent (i.e., punching bag)’ for his son who is an aspiring karate and kick boxer.

Matthew has a B.Sc. (Hons) in Environmental Biology and an M.Sc. in Forest Ecology and Management from the University of Alberta.
